At the Annual Texas Pulmonary Holiday Party held this year, two of our distinguished physicians were honored for their dedication and service to their patients, their colleagues and their community - Dr. John Pender (retired) and Dr. John Burk. We are very proud of their contributions and fortunate to have them in our Texas Pulmonary family!

After nearly five decades of dedicated service, we announce the well-earned retirement of Dr. Mitchell Kuppinger, who has been a valued member of our practice since 1978.

Throughout his stellar career, Dr. Kuppinger has been recognized not only for his exceptional clinical skill and thoughtful, patient-centered care, but also for his deep technical expertise — he’s long been our resident “computer whiz”.

Before beginning his medical career, Dr. Kuppinger served six years in the U.S. Navy, where he was assigned to the USS Long Beach. That same spirit of service and dedication has carried through every aspect of his medical practice.

Dr. Kuppinger’s compassion, humor, and steady presence will be greatly missed by his colleagues and patients alike. We are deeply grateful for his decades of commitment and the countless lives he has touched.

Please join us in wishing Dr. Kuppinger a happy, healthy, and fulfilling retirement!
