Jonathan joined the Texas Pulmonary & Critical Care family in 2015.

Jonathan was raised in Elgin, Texas, and graduated from high school there in 2002. In between his junior and senior years, Jonathan enlisted as an infantryman in the Texas Army National Guard. He was selected to serve in the 143rd Long Range Surveillance Unit based in Austin, Texas, and subsequently the 143rd Airborne Battalion. During his service, he graduated from Ranger School, Sniper School, Airborne School, Northern Mountain Warfare School in Alaska, and several leadership schools, as well as earning numerous awards for his service. Jonathan served two years overseas in Iraq (2005) and Afghanistan (2009) and also worked at the Texas Counterdrug Headquarters. He loves to share his travels and experiences with other people.

While serving in the military, Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Texas at Austin, with a concentration in pathogenesis and immunity. He relocated to Fort Worth in 2012 to attend physician assistant school at UNT Health Science Center. In his free time, Jonathan enjoys cooking with his wife, and spending time outdoors with his Afghan rescue dog. He also serves on the Executive Committee for The Red Shoe Society, a young professionals group affiliated with the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth.
